Are We?
The saying goes..
"we ain't never leaving the block"
As more time goes by, it almost seems like little will ever truly change the way we are and the things we do to each other; hate breeds more hate, violence begets violence - pain and suffering almost becomes second nature to being human.
a tad bit dramatic, i know, but like...
I sometimes try and fantasize of a world where none of this exists, like how would that be, look, and feel.. but, as always, I find myself struggling to see how any of it would last, how it would be almost impossible not to eventually fall back into the abyss of individual wants, desires, ambitions and eventually corruption.
and the cycle continues
On this world, it's far more likely we'll annihilate ourselves well before the earth decides it's time to 'snap' us out of the equation because even though we are actively destroying it, in the end, earth will be just fine, as it has been doing this for way longer than us 'puny humans' - last MCU reference. 😄
At times, I don't even think the '1 step back 2 steps forward' saying applies anymore because if we are constantly, and it never ends, fighting the bad for the good - every fucking day then...
