I Have No Choice

There are people in such desperate and vulnerable situations that they are at an everyday risk of abuse, injury and death in order to survive.

"I have no choice, there's nothing else for me."

That's the reality for many on earth, everyday is a literal fight for survival as is the case of migrants crossing fucking seas and oceans on rickety patched up floating surfaces - not even a boat, just some put together with whatever you can find floater. Others are traversing some of the most dangerous and lethal routes on land, that are so well documented to being absolutely hostile to humans that even local authorities avoid them.

In Kenya, the government is and has been actively committing modern-day slavery with its own citizens for years. Shipping them, as did slave traders, to regions, in this case The Arabian Gulf, that have been well documented to be violently abusive and hostile to black people - especially women - with murder being common at the hands of their "employers".

Ever heard of the Kafala system? It's basically slavery but with extra steps.

And what does the Kenyan government do about this?

They deny, rebrand and continue trading in more slavery as if nothing is happening, because they cannot be bothered with developing the country and creating opportunities at home and instead plunder and pillage anything and everything they can get their corrupt hands on.

And it is important to remember that this kind of pain and suffering is always - by design.
